This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website (gamesadv.com) or participate in gamified campaigns hosted on our platform.

1. Introduction

GamesAdv is a Gamified Marketing Platform that enables brands ("Clients") to create interactive campaigns. We act as a Data Processor for our Clients. This means that when you play a game hosted by a specific brand, that brand is the Data Owner, and we process your data on their behalf.

2. Information We Collect

A. From Campaign Participants (Players)

When you participate in a game or campaign hosted on GamesAdv, we collect:

  • Identity Data: Name, Phone Number, and optionally Email (if requested by the campaign).
  • Device Data: IP Address, Device Model, Browser Type, and Operating System.
  • Game Data: Prize outcomes, spin results, timestamps, and redemption status.
Why we collect this:
  • •Redemption: To generate a unique QR code linked to your identity for prize claiming.
  • •Fraud Protection: We use Device IDs and IP addresses to prevent "farming" (Anti-Cheat System).
  • •Communication: To allow our Clients (the brands) to contact you regarding your prize.

B. From Our Clients (Brands/Agencies)

When you sign up to use GamesAdv as a business, we collect Company Name, Business Registration Number, Contact Person, Email, Phone Number, and Billing information.

3. How We Use Your Information

We process your data for the following purposes:

  • To Facilitate the Game: Ensuring the game mechanics (e.g., probability logic) function correctly.
  • To Verify Winners: Allowing merchants to scan QR codes and verify validity in real-time.
  • To Detect Fraud: Analyzing patterns to block bots and cheat attempts.
  • To Provide Analytics: Generating aggregate reports for our Clients.
  • To Comply with Law: Meeting legal obligations under Malaysian law.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Strict Policy: We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties.

However, we share data in the following specific scenarios:

  • With the Campaign Organizer (The Brand):
    If you play a game hosted by "Brand X," the data you submit is shared directly with Brand X. They own this data.
  • Service Providers:
    We use trusted third-party providers for hosting (Vercel, Supabase) and communication APIs. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
  • Legal Requirements:
    We may disclose data if required by law enforcement or a court order in Malaysia.

5. Data Security

We implement enterprise-grade security measures including SSL/TLS Encryption for all data in transit, strict Access Control for backend databases, and secure retention of Anti-Cheat Logs.

6. Data Retention

We retain player data for the duration of the Client's subscription plus a grace period (typically 12 months) to allow for auditing and prize redemption. Clients may request data deletion at any time.

7. Your Rights (PDPA)

Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you have the right to:

  • Access and request a copy of your data.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Withdraw consent (Note: this may forfeit unredeemed prizes).
